Stephen Frare

I live and study in Southern Maryland and this past fall I called a realtor company, Hill City Realty to help a friend and I find a nice apartment close to school. Stephen Frare found us one apartment in the downtown area, that was really cute and recently renovated. We called him the next week to move forward with the necessary steps, so that we could move in ASAP. He then called us and reconfirmed and said it was ours if we wanted it as long as we came up with the security deposit and first month’s rent because a lot of people wanted this apartment. We came to him the NEXT DAY and he said that he allegedly “forgot” that someone had made a deal for this apartment, but he felt bad and could possibly fix it. After all was said and done we didn’t get the apartment and then tried to claim that he couldn’t return our security deposit because of their “company policy”. We talked with his supervisor who said that he was mistaken and we got our money back. If you are looking for a place to live, I would recommend not hiring him. He was so unprofessional and created so much stress and irritation.
