Dayna Childs
Last summer I moved to Scranton to find a good apartment before my fall semester started. I responded to a few ads and eventually one woman, Dayna Childs agreed to show me some of her apartments. After finding one at a good price and decent location I moved in. After a few weeks a lot of things started to fall apart, but not because of normal wear and tear! I consider myself a good tenant and would have paid for these things if that was the case. However many of the problems came from internal things such as leaky pipes and wiring problems, or things that were installed incorrectly. After I told her repeated times this needed to be fixed, she refused to fit the bill saying that this was my fault. I even asked if we could split it down the middle, but she wouldn’t even budge. Along with a slue of other problems I had with her I decided to move out, but when I asked her for my security deposit she said that I couldn’t have all of it because of the “damage” I made in the house! If you’re looking to rent and read any of her listings, I would think twice! She refused to fix anything and would show up at the apartment without any notice at all! She was completely unprofessional!
